About the event
One of my favourite countries for wine, join us on a venture of these beautiful vibrant wines from Spain. Hosted by Gavin Butterworth.
Â
Venta La Vega Adaras Lluvia Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc
It's a refreshing and aromatic wine with hints of lime, kiwi, and mineral notes. The mouth-watering flavours of stone fruit, lime, and passionfruit are well-balanced, and the finish is complex and satisfying.
Gulp Hablo Verdejo and Sauvignon (Orange)
This wine is a mixture of Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, which is a popular blend in this region. It's an orange wine, made by macerating the skins for a week. It has a fragrant aroma of orange blossom and tropical jackfruit, with a moderately tannic taste of dried citrus peels, tea, and preserved apricots. The texture is yeasty and textured.
Venta La Vega Adaras Aldea Garnacha-Syrah
An approachable blend of Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet) and Syrah from Spain’s vinous wunderkind, Raúl Pérez. Vibrant, lifted fruit character and impeccable balance of acid and fruit intensity.
Finca Nueva Rioja Joven
The Finca Nueva Joven is a delightful Rioja wine that is made from 100% Tempranillo. It has a fruity taste and is more accessible than the Allende range. The wine boasts pronounced herbal and tomato leaf characters, with bright plum skin, red cherry, and sweet spice notes. Additionally, there is just a hint of dark chocolate, which adds to the wine's complexity.
