About the event
Welcome to our first in-store tasting for the year, this year we are wanting to shine light on the difference of Old World Wines; New World Wines and Natural Wines.
This tasting is from the good people of Convivium Wines, specialists in Italian wines. Their line up pitching Old World Wines against Natural Wines:
Agricola Felline Fiano Salento IGP (Old World)
Rich, bright straw yellow in colour. On the nose, aromas of pastries, butter cookies and very ripe apricots with delicate undertones of orange zest and a floral aftertaste. The palate, initially beautifully full and creamily textured with yellow fruit notes with changes for a savoury finish.
Casa di Baal 'Marialonga' Fiano Campania IGP (Natural)
Intense yellow, not completely limpid. To the nose the wine offers notes of citrus, yellow ripe fruits and Mediterranean herbs. In the mouth is fresh, fruity and pleasantly easy to drink.
