Red fruits and fruitcake with spices, with peat lingering in the background, grainy and nutty. when adding water it develops into a more rounded nose, with the fruit even more prominent.
Dry arrival, rather different than the nose. the same elements are present but the balance is altogether different: the peat is more prominent and I picked up a lot more spicy notes. After adding water the balance is somewhat restored, and when you give it another 15 minutes a lot of woody and nutty notes march to the front to add some more complexity to the already impressive party.
