A highly regarded dark Jamaican rum which was created by the owner of Island Records, Chris Blackwell.
The actual production of the rum falls to the world famous Jamaican rum company, Wray and Nephew. There is a connection between Chris Blackwell and Wray – his mother’s family had previously owned the Wray and Nephew brand, and the Appleton sugar estate.
A classic dark rum, this serves up flavours of treacle, toffee, vanilla, burnt sugar, chocolate, coffee, tropical fruit, honey and barrel char.
Very good as a float in Mai Tai’s, or worked into a long drink with ginger beer.
