Between Five Bells Red
For no other reason than to be delicious. This is the ELEVENTH release of our RED. When it should be drunk is up to you, probably not long after it comes into your possession.   The philosophy here is to make a varietally ambiguous wine where the usual rules are thrown out and creativity abounds. The backbone for the B5B red in 2021 was Sagrantino with Syrah and Vermentino giving it an aromatic lift. A number of winemaking techniques are used in the making, fresh carbonic maceration, skin contact and fermentation in amphora and large format oak. The  complex array of techniques and varieties combined to create a complex wine, with a riot of crushed fruit aromas and a delightful savoury edge.
